Hi there. My name is Noela Mogga. I am a physician, mother, food blogger. I was born in South Sudan. I plan to showcase tasty South Sudan food recipes, traditional customs, and natural beauty regimens. When I am not busy practicing Anesthesiology in my adopted state of Texas, I can be found whipping delicious meals for my husband and children.

Mama

a poem, By Noela Mogga.

My dearest mother.

Mama

The womb
The solace
The comfort
The soft warm embrace
Where we return for comfort

The baby knows to cry into the mother’s shoulders
We cradle back to home
Retreat back to base
The home, the heartbeat, is mother

Mother I pray for you
Mother I miss you
Mother I cry for you

In the depths of my despair
I seek your love
I look for your smile
I yearn for your voice
Your presence means everything is allright

Mama may you live long
Mama may God guard you
Mama may your smile always be there
Mama may your blessing come abundantly

What a beautiful Mama you have Noela, and what a beautiful poem.
I hope you don’t mind that I shared it with my little grandson’s South Sudanese Abuba.
    Blessings from Meredith in Australia.
